PredictionProbe Released UNIPASS™ 5.3

PredictionProbe has announced on 5/28/04 the release of UNIPASSTM version 5.3, the newest version of its renowned probabilistic assessment software. UNIPASS™ V5.3 is fully validated and tested software that can be operated by a non-statistician using a desktop computer.

What are new in Version 5.3 Compared to Version 5.2?

The new features provided by Version 5.3 compared with Version 5.2 are summarized below:

  •  Fixed the problem in CDF/PDF Plot for distribution such that the plot will be consistent for automatically plotting.

  •  The parametric file in Generic interface can be located in different directory from the working directory.

  •  Extended the maximum length of input in EXTERNAL.IN of Generic interface from 80 characters to 160 characters.

  •  Extended the maximum length of input in CUST.IN of Customized interface from 80 characters to 160 characters.

  •  Allowed the command of "solver.exe < input file > output file" in Generic Interface.

  •  Allowed the command of "solver.exe < input file > output file" in Customized Interface.

  •  Created CUST.ERR file for Customized Interface.

  •  Removed the old PDF curve before executing UNIPASS Solver for the Monte Carlo simulation.

  •  Removed the old MPP curve before executing UNIPASS Solver for the CDF/PDF Analysis using FORM/SORM.

  •  Reformatted the external file, VARS.SAV.

  •  Set up the restriction that the random variable's name cannot be duplicated in the Variable Definition window.

  •  Set up the restriction that the random variable's identification number cannot be duplicated in the Variable Definition window.

  •  Fixed problem of "NAN" (divided by zero) in the Sensitivity Analysis.

  •  Removed the bug such that the value of sensitivity is greater than one in the normalized sensitivity. This is a bug occurred in two random variables problem.

  •  Removed the bug for the sensitivity of deterministic variable.

  •  Removed the bug for Non-gradient MPP Identification method when the vectors direction cosine of MPPs are the same in the CDF/PDF analysis.

  •  Removed the bug for the CDF/PDF analysis using Non-gradient MPP method and specifying individual probability/reliability index levels.
