Demon Example User can directly enter the observation data in the Data Tab. An example of nineteen data for the fracture toughness of MIG welds are sorted (with unit of ) as: 54.4, 62.6, 63.2, 67.0, 70.2, 70.5, 70.6, 71.4, 71.8, 74.1, 74.1, 74.3, 78.8, 81.8, 83.0, 84.4, 85.3, 86.9, 87.3. Use these observation data to enter DistributionProbe.
There are three test methods available in the current version of DistributionProbe:
DistributionProbe has 15 built-in statistical distributions that can be used to fit the observed data. With the pre-selected test method, each distribution will fit the observed data by the method of moments (MOM) and the maximum likelihood estimate (MLE). The distributions are ranked for the best fit to the observed data based on the significance level in the goodness-of-fit technologies.
